Personal | I Want a Short Escape From The Reality

Assalamualaikum and hey guys!

I am living well here, trying to cope with my life, completing tasks as a full time student along with all the events that I'm involved. Sometimes, I don't know why I always trying so hard to push my limits and do something that I am not familiar with. Yes, sometimes I do so many things in one time that I may collapse due to overwork. But, alhamdulillah so far I am not collapsing due to overwork. I just get fever and cold after it ends. I am so used to do hard work and whenever I get to do something so easy I feels like I am lazy and doing my work half heart which something that I really hate. Gosh! something is wrong with me.

I choose to do so many things in one time, but I always feel discourage half way and feeling like want to be someone who is irresponsible and to give up and to stop doing that. I have choices to make but I still choose the hard way. Why can't I just take an easy way, trust others, and not trying to do everything by myself?

Studying itself becoming more more and more challenging this semester. I meet subjects that I am not good at and I feel so frustrated. I feel so stupid when I am trying to learn that. I feels like crying but my tears seem to dry out. But, I can do it.. I can do it.. I can do it.. Because I will..

Lately, I read in social media that people mocking that studying is not that hard like a working life. So, why so many student trying to suicide? For those who don't know, yes.. you think that working life is harder than studying. So do studying, it have its own pressure that no one can see. Only the student can feel it. The pressure to achieve success, to not destroying parent's expectations, to not failing, and so on. Yup.. Doesn't mean you can't see it, the pressure is not exist. For me, those who said that only see from their points of view and not to see far enough to be open minded. But, I still love studying.

Well, It must be nice to stop and go to a vacation for awhile to go and see the nature and to clear my mind. Yes, a vacation to heal myself, obviously not a vacation that spend to much money on shopping. Hahaha! It must be feel so great! Go to hike in the mountain (although I am not athletic), go to the beach and just sit to heal myself.

p/s I'm not saying that working life is easier than studying.. I've been working also and it have its own pressure.. but I disagree with people who are saying that studying is nothing compare to working, and I know that working is harder.. But, I disagree with people who condemn the student.. Everyone have their own struggles and we should be respect that :)

see ya!

University | Karnival Gegar Fkaas 3.0

Assalamualaikum and welcome to Jellove!

On 18th and 19th of September 2018, I was involved in my faculty's program, Karnival Gegar Fkaas 3.0. So, my hectic days started 3 weeks before the event started. Because of myself in the organization called Persatuan Pelajar Awam (PPA) for Department of Multimedia and Publicity, I was responsible for designing posters and some other multimedia kinds of stuff such as promoting the event and also in charge in taking pictures during the event happening.

I really love my department. Although it is hard, but I had fun. It is because it is my first time to get to do what I really like, and I get to hone my skills. I also learned a lot from my seniors who patiently guide me from the scratch, and I feel so blessed. I love the aesthetic feeling when I get to do what I really like. I hope that I can go to another level and skills later.

To be honest, I feel discouraged whenever my posters keep being rejected. Who doesn't feel that way right? I keep redesign/edit my posters due to demand from so many people. But still, I need to be creative for my posters and it is hard to do so under pressure. I have stayed for the whole day in front of my computer just to get an idea to do the logo. A very simple one and it was rejected. Haha!

So, this is the main poster for the event after so many changes, critiques, blood, sweat and tears. Hahaha! From what you can see from the poster, there are so many posters and I need to do the poster for each activity. The hectic days was over and now I am back to my normal self without nonsense text messages, talks and actions due to lack of sleep. Yes, I become very spaced out and not in my right mind whenever I lack sleeping. It is one of the side effects of lack of sleep.  I'm gonna show you some of the posters, and I will not share all of the posters because my article gonna be super long.

Poster for Ceramah Kesihatan.

Poster for Fuyoo Fkaas 2.0

An event for the kindergarten kids. They are super cute and adorable!

Tag for the facilitators of the programme.

I'm gonna show you some of my rejected posters. Well, I am not ashamed of it because I did well. #selfpraise

My first rejected the main poster. Hahaha... To be honest, I did not do well because of the choice of colour. It seems gloomy. Well, I find hard for the choice of colour for graphic design.

Rejected main logo. 👀

Rejected the main poster because I followed almost the same with the previous poster for the event due to miscommunication. 😅

I may be lacking in some parts but I still improving. I am far from being an expert because I am not professionally learning in the university. But, It is my dream to be a professional. Hahaha, wish me luck guys!

See ya!

Civil Engineering | Geology Field Trip

Assalamualaikum and Welcome to Jellove!

Last semester, 2nd-semester 2nd year, my course make a field trip to Sungai Lembing, Pahang. The trip was for 3 days and 2 night. The main purpose of this trip was to expose to student the real-life experience so that student could figure out the application of the theory that they have learned in class and could properly understand engineering geology. During the trip, we gets to learn how to use the equipment properly, especially the compass and Schmidt hammer. During the trip, we could enhance our knowledge in engineering geology while visiting several places for sightseeing as well as enhancing knowledge about the places that have been visited.

The first stop was at Ayer Hitam, Johor for data taking and also to find the geological properties of the slope near the work area.

The working area at Ayer Hitam

Data taking by using the compass

The hand was struggling to get the dip direction of the slope based on the compass. hahaha

After that, we moved to Sungai Lembing, Pahang and the trip taking the whole day. It was so exhausting because I only sleep inside the bus for the whole day. We arrived at Sungai Lembing at 5 or 6 pm, then get registered to our room and get to rest before the briefing at night.

Sungai Lembing Museum

Next day, We went to Sungai Lembing Museum for mineral hunting activities. We just went inside the museum to find the answers from the quiz given by the lecturer. Hahaha, after get the answers, I just went to the cool place and sit under the aircond until further notice from the lecturer. It was so freaking hot that day and I couldn't stand the heat.

After that, we moved to Bukit Charas, Sungai Lembing and went inside the cave to study the rock structures, the minerals and many more. But, it was so exhausting because I need to climb the stairs. The activity was to identify the chemical Sedimentary rock formation.

I climbed to the top. wahhhh you did it Nana!

This's how Bukit Charas looks like from the highest place in the area.

Later in the afternoon, we went to Sungai Lembing Mines. The best part of the trip I guess. I get to ride the gerabak and it was so fun. Hahaha, I back being a 13 years old Nana that day. But, that day, I was drenched with the water drops inside the mines. The perks of being a Civil Engineering student.

Geomechanics classification inside the mines.

 Working hard inside the dark.

FYI, the mines is a tourism area, so that day, we always get asked where we are from and what are we doing. Hahaha, People went into the mines only for sightseeing but we even read a book inside the mines to understand the data taking procedures.

The last day, we went to Black Stone Beach at Kuantan, Pahang for Identification on the weathering effect on Basalt rock. We just need to bring back a few rocks for the strength tests later in the lab.

Sample taking at Black Stone Beach.

For sure, we were exposed to the real-life experience of a geologist. The trip was so fun and memorable. The good thing is my programme always have field trips almost every semester. Learning Civil Engineering is fun.

See ya!

Lifestyle | New Semester And It Is Already A Mess

Assalamualaikum and Welcome to Jellove!

New semester started and I already busy 2 weeks before the semester started because of the upcoming programmes. Hahaha I am laughing but not really laughing. Probably, that is why I haven't blogwalking and post any entry. I don't even have enough time to eat nor sleep. Yes, it is that bad. My posters keep being rejected and when the design gets approved, the venue, time, etc keep changing and that is why I keep working enough to get back pain and stiff neck. I am dreaming of going to the spa and get a full body massage. That would be so great!

The worst case is when Wifi at my rented house at uni get terminated. I almost being homeless because struggling to find places with Wifi in my uni just to email my posters and to find materials for my posters. I go everywhere with my laptop and started making posters whenever I had time to spare. Luckily, The wifi working and it is a good news for me. But the thing is when in a meeting, they said that I always late email my posters. Well, they are trying to test my patience. My patience is like on the edge of the cliff. It will fall with the wind. I think only graphic designers could feel what I feel right now.

Lately, there are so many bad things happen around my friends and I, and it may be so unbearable. May Allah SWT grant us His blessings, and may he protect each one of us. InsyaAllah. Let's pray together for a blessing life. I hope that we can go through the hardships and struggles with a great patience and having each other without any depression or anxiety. I don't want those to come back to me.

see ya!

Lifestyle | Classical Music

Assalamualaikum and welcome to Jellove!

Sometimes, rather than listening to pop music, I choose to listen to classical music. I find listening to the classical music is so calming and a pleasure to hear. It seems like every melody has its own stories to tell. I started love listening to classical music when I was in high school. I started to find pop songs in instrument version or listening to an orchestra. From that, I started to know a pianist, Maksim Mrvica and Yiruma.

My favourite pieces of classical music are:

1. Beethoven: Sonata No. 21 in C Major
This one is not a well known, but a good start for you to listen.

2.  Beethoven: Fur Elise
This piece is one of the most well-known music by Beethoven. Even you who is not interested in classical music have heard this piece.

3. Mozart: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
A well-known piece from Mozart. Eine Kleine Nachtmusik is A Little Night Music in English. It is very classic yet addicting. Very recommended!

4. Maksim Mrvica: Croatian Rhapsody
This piece is from Maksim Mrvica. The piece tells the story about Croatia's war. I read it somewhere and I can't remember. There are much more from Maksim Mrvica. He is a great pianist. He even makes a cover for John Legend's song, All of Me.

5. Yiruma & Henry: River Flows in You
This is not an original version from Yiruma, but a collaboration with Henry, a former member of Super Junior M, and I really love this one 👍

6. Beethoven: Moonlight Sonata
It is beautiful and filled with longing and another great piece from Beethoven.

7. Chopin: Nocturne op.9 No 2
Hearing this piece makes you feel calm and positive. It also sounds so romantic. You will love this one!

8. Maurice Ravel Piano Concerto in G major
One of the best all piano concerto. It sounds so magical and that's why I love it!

9. Mozart: The Sonata for Two Pianos in D major, K. 448
This piano work composed in 1781 by Mozart at age 25. The first time I heard this piece when I watch Anime, Nodame Cantabile. Because of that, I started to love classical music. After watching this Anime, I watch the drama and also Korean-remake version and I still freaking love it. You should watch the Anime!

10. Pachelbel: Canon in D
If you have play mobile phone game, Piano Tiles, I'm pretty sure you have heard this melody. This is the original version.

You can listen more of the classical music from Youtube or Spotify. You will prefer to listen to classical music while studying rather than listening to pop music that will make you only focus on singing. Hahaha, well if it is not you, it is me. I find it is hard to focus on studying while listening to pop music.

I am not a professional when it comes to music. I can't even read music chord but I do really love classical music and instrument especially piano and harp. 💖

In A Letter To

A Letter To My Fifteen-Year-Old self

Dear Nana,

First and foremost, congratulations! You are a Form 3 student now. You must be happy with your friends at school. Last year was so intense and it will be the most childish year for you. Everything is getting interesting starting this year!

As a 22-year-old, I realize that I still don't have much advice for you but remember to be strong and passionate no matter what you do. Stop playing and study! 💢 Ah! Stop taking so many selfies, you may feel regret later. 😐

At school, you may feel you have been discriminate with so many additional classes for the top student but you are not one of them. But that's okay, school is not everything. You will start again from the basic years later and you just need to believe in yourself and work harder. Don't ever feels that you are average, your skills, hobbies will be of no use later. Just do it! I believe you can use it later and you will shine later. That's okay. High school will be the best experience of your life and I know that you really love it now. I really love the way you started to be passionate about learning English by reading books and listening to English songs. Keep it up! 💪 All the drawings gonna be so nostalgic later so keep doing it and I know you will because you love it.

Years later, rather than keeping the problems by yourself, why not you cry as hard as you can and get up to move on. From that, you can avoid depression and anxiety. 😊

Finally, no matter what happens, you have your family and friend supporting you from the back. You can be the person you want, the person you need. Keep smiling just the way you are. Stop being so 'kerek' with friends from the other classes.

warm hugs,
22-year-old Nana

Lifestyle | How To Get Your Own Favourite Hobby

Assalamualaikum and hi readers!

Having a hobby is a good example of a healthy lifestyle. By having a good hobby, I believe you can focus more and be sharp. obviously, you can avoid doing something that is unhealthy and unbeneficial towards yourself such as overly sleeping 💤 and watching TV. ✌

➽ Why must I get a hobby?
Well, don't you want to have a flavourful and meaningful life? Having a hobby is a good way to relieve stress.

➽ How to get a hobby?
You can keep trying to do lots of things. Then, you will find what you like to do sooner or later. It is like trying to find magic in the colour. 👍 If you like something physical, try a workout, hiking, cleaning.

➽ I have tried, but I can't find one. I envy those who got a hobby.
Like I just said before, just try many of new things and you can find one, or more. It is the matter of your will of fire whether you really want it or not. For a starter, try to do your friend's hobby. I think it is a good start and a good motivation to have a friend with a hobby. 😌 Try one, or you will never know.

➽ I already an adult, but can I still find a hobby?
Yes! One easy way is to see what you want to change/improve about yourself. You know the feeling when you keep monologue about you regretting not doing anything. "Ah, I really should be doing bla bla bla instead." 💁 Pick one that can change your life 180'. Instead of only thinking, go for it right away. Grab the chance to find a hobby, and you will find one. It is never to late to learn new things.

➽ The benefit of having a hobby?
A hobby is to feel self-fulfilled. Having a hobby meaning that you actually can have a good time by yourself and can avoid yourself being too dependent on others. 👉 In the beginning, it may be hard to do the chosen hobby, but it's worth to find something that will make your days fulfilled. Look behind the reason why you love a certain interest and see if you can apply it as a hobby. Finding a hobby is easier than you expected.

Try to be good at something and be better. You can do it. All you have to do is keep believing in yourself. If you can't, who will? Keep trying and trying. You can keep failing to be successful sooner or later. There is no easy way to reach the top. I hope the tips will be helping you to find a hobby. All the best! 💪

Artwork | My Graphic Artworks

Assalamualikum and welcome to Jellove!

FYI, I write this article while listening to some classical music which is so pleasuring to hear and it makes me focus more to write 💢 I always listening to classical music while studying. I avoid listening to the modern song while studying because it makes me lose focus and only focusing on singing and not studying. hahaha

For this article, I would like to share some of my graphics artworks which I have done starting last year. There are some more but some of them are too ugly to show and some of them are still not officially released by the faculty. So, I decided to not share those.

I make this when I took a class to learn how to use photoshop with my friends last semester although mostly the student who took the class are the beginner, and I am not a beginner although I am far from being an expert. So, I am in a middle class I guess.

I make this planner last semester when I suddenly inspired to make a planner for myself. Well, I even planned to make a weekly planner for the whole semester and sell it. My planner should be a Harry Potter theme since I am a Potterhead and I want to put my drawings at my planner. BTW, it is still in a planning state so I don't know when it will be done perfectly, and I want to sell it to you guys. Maybe?

I designed this poster for my club in my faculty. Hahaha, It takes lots of effort for this since that was my first time to be an official graphic designer and in a "Jabatan Multimedia & Publisiti".

The last one was for "Sukan Antara Fakulti" for my faculty. Obviously.

When I am a graphic designer, I realised that it is so hard to keep creative and full of ideas for my artworks. Especially when I am in hurry or trying to exceed my faculty's expectations. It is super duper hard to achieve, even now. I even think to quit halfway because it is hard and almost none of my friends are well-known in graphic design. So, it is hard to ask their opinions because this is not their field of studies. Yup.. But I won't give up. I can do it! (in Daebak's cute voice) I have so many things to learn. I can do it when I am learning Civil Engineering although it is hard, so why not in graphic design?

Have a nice day everyone!

Artwork | Blog Template Changed!

Assalamualaikum and welcome to Jellove

Finally, I can move on from the too-pinkish-blog of mine. This time, I choose a very simple and clean design for my blog and I really love it! FYI, I did not create this template, I find the template through Gooyabi Templates. Well, it is easier to use custom made template btw. I am not professionally learning javascript so it is hard to do it alone by myself without any help from the internet and youtube, which takes a lot of times to finish. Previously, I used a classic template which I have used for years and I took a drastic change from using a classic template to the new template. Suddenly I have a passion to write an article regularly. Is it an article or a blog post? Please correct me through the comment section below. (I am seeking for an advice from you)

Furthermore, you guys can click at my link gadget above to read my newly updated biodata of myself, and 'read' for you to choose an interesting post to read. Oh! I get the pictures that I will use to share in my blog from Pinterest, Unsplash or from myself. I hope you guys can enjoy reading my article while seeing so many interesting pictures with quotes that I share.

Last but not least, don't ever feels boring with my drawings. hahaha, I am going to keep sharing my drawings until you guys sick of it. Oh Ya! The picture draws by me for some secret project that I don't know whether it will happen or not.

See ya!

Lifestyle | Life is Always a Beginning of Everything

Assalamualikum and welcome to Jellove! 👀

My mind overflow with ideas to blog so I just thought why not to do it right away, and here I am! Working on to write this blog post. I hope that it may be beneficial to all.

The topic that I choose today is "Life is Always a Beginning of Everything". There are some people who always walking on the right path, the easier way of life to avoid any difficulties that may be troublesome in daily life. Well, I feel that way too. I always think that I should not take this path because it is hard, and it is not my speciality, which the path that I fear the most in my life. I always blame myself for taking this path and I even blaming others who suggest me for taking this hard path to walk in my life. Well, to be very honest with myself and also to my readers, It is my own fault for listening to other people's suggestion and agreeing without giving serious thought of it. I just try to find excuses to get away from me who blaming myself for everything. It is more like self-comfort, right?

There is a moment when you start envying the professional experts who already excel in what they do from the various fields such as a painter, an actor, writer, an engineer, teacher, scientist, etc. Why should you envy them? You just sit and do nothing. Yes... You should be ashamed of yourself. Why always self-doubting? Why not you just walk away from your comfort zone and start to do it. Be an expert. Be a professional. Be someone who excels in what you choose to do. You may be failed a thousand time and it may be hard to achieve your dream. Besides, you may take a U-turn and start from the starting point. It will be exhausted and feels like you are running in a loop. There is no end and no beginning of it. You may feel lost, exhausted and even stupid. Same goes for me. I hate to feel so imperfect and lacking because I do like a dumb person, and that is the reason I afraid to feel new things. But, that is life. life has its up and down. Life is like riding a roller coaster so just cope with it and move on. 💆

I slightly disagree with the sayings: "untunglah reti...", "untunglah pandai...", "untunglah berbakat...". 😤Why? Because the one that you said those sayings are started their chosen path earlier than you. That is the reason why they seem like an expert. Rather than saying those, why not you stand up, get out from your own world and started the journey. Learn and feel new things. For a beginner, it is always hard and exhausting, but with practices and persistence, you can be an expert. Just keep believing in yourself. It is okay to keep trying to do new things. You may be late to reach the end but you will feel more achieved than anyone else in the world because you gain more knowledge than them.

Last but not least, life is always a beginning of everything. There are so many things to learn and there is no end to learn. Besides, by work hard to achieve your dream, you also need to avoid being greed and always be grateful. In that way, you can walk on a difficult path with a light heart.

Have a good day, readers! Thank you for reading 🙋

Artwork | Sharing my drawings again?

Assalamualaikum and hello readers!

Welcome to my blog! I haven't blog for a while. I just don't have much free time to blog often and also commitments towards my studies and many more! Furthermore, I also don't have any topic to blog other than keep posting my artworks. Yup, if you read my previous posts, I keep sharing my drawings rather than posting any interesting topics for my blog. Well, hoping that one day I have so many interesting topics to share and can blog often. Maybe? I hope so.

My last post was on December 10th  2017!😱 Haven't post anything almost a year, and today, when I am writing this post, it is July 10th 2018. To get new feels, I changed my blog's background, my intro, and links to my social media accounts. So! you can contact me through my Instagram account or through ask.fm. I will try to answer everything you ask and maybe requests. Actually, I want to change my blog's template but I already forgot about javascript. FYI, I edit my blog using Classic Template where I can costume made my blog's template. I actually already hate seeing my blog being too pinkish. I am so sorry for those who feel uncomfortable with my too-pinkish-blog. But, I think my blog is quite simple with minimum widgets, colours and some other fancy kinds of stuff that I actually forget what it is called. (self-proud). I want to change the theme colour later. Only if I got enough time to do so. 😅 Actually, it is not I got enough time or not. It is just my will. am I right?

Enough with the babbles, I will share some of my drawings which I draw this year.

This is Malacca Palace. I guess? I just searched some old palace in Malaysia to draw. It is because I love to see Malaysia's old architecture. It is so unique and has its own feels. From what I have learned in this semester, an old Malay's house has the best natural ventilation system which the design itself allows wind to travel throughout the house through the roof, doors, and windows. The height of the house also affecting the temperature in the house.

My friend requested me to draw his house. So, that is the result of my drawing. Hahaha

So, I hope that I can blog often and blogwalking often. It is fun to read other people's post but yeah. My laziness got me again. I want to throw away my laziness and be committed to blog often. Pray-for-nana.

See ya!
